Joya Cherfan is a Junior Lawyer at Cherfan Law who specializes in international arbitration and international business law. Her expertise encompasses several internships with prestigious international firms in Paris, where she gained valuable experience in the field of international law.
Joya has gained insights in handling international arbitration cases, particularly in energy, construction, commercial and investment disputes related to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has been actively engaged in significant and complex arbitration proceedings held under diverse arbitral institutions and regulations, such as ICC, DIAC, PCA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL.
She is a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 2022. She holds a a DU in Insolvency Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne (2023) and a Certificate in Digital Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris (2022). She graduated with a Master 2 in Arbitration and International Trade (MACI) from the University of Versailles – Paris-Saclay in 2022 and a Master 1 in Business Law and a Bachelor of Laws from Saint Joseph University of Beirut in 2021.
